Coloured like a sedated
Yet defensively animated
Camouflager.
My beak weakens, steamless
Beaten by the steel of her teak.
The moment that she speaks
At once every hue flashes peep show fashion the filled seats.
From butter to blood to blackness; unfocused, impressionist crocuses;
Yellow, purple, red, white, flecked or spot-decked
By light and aspect changed.
