Denying distance

Grownup daughter’s once-shiny toy left behind come collegetime.

Every night the blisterful sun’s unsightly oneness

Acknowledged those divided as ultimately united;

Despite mighty leagues of sea miles between, their peerers concealed

The same flailed star.

Tart with need I veiled neatly my treasons

Screwed apart my arm-chewed chainmail heart

On scarred knees, her need my reason

Her cold sored relief fleeting

As seasons become to one aggrieved.

My flushed cheek seeks the cold floor’s mushing cold sword feel

Going misfired dart directions.
