Thus must be
The inestimable testament of my low deeds dictated aloud:
Scenes from a life which no joy allowed.
Every scribe hired out expires shortly thereafter
Soon they’ll die out like cowards never seem to do in battle.
I meet them, repeat my life’s meat, then death greets them
No sooner seated are ferried to a heated hereafter.
My mind’s unblind eye the Almighty’s last endowment
I have come to regret casting her dowry into the sea
In an effort to prove, to quote me
That you are worth more to me
Than your worth in gold could ever reach.
