Dawnwound

Highmoving light reclaimed those night taken slopes

Slothful promontories, scooped out in Dagon’s day, vomit-painted

Noisy, oversugared daytime arriving light and rhyming, Ur-timely

Allstirring world emerging nervous, fox furtive, into yearning mole light

Nascent dayhastening; wind-tousled hay makes a sound like swaying paper.

A Heaven that looks too much like Roman housing for this unsavable pagan.

Hazy swaying lightrivers sieving away fearsome-seeming glissome-thieving night

So easily seized, my lissome prize; her chasing eyes a Theban glyph.

The muddled is easily seen now, as a bracing piece in blazing, chastening fire writ.

Networks of azure-bodied canals like paradise blood for phoenix preening

Silvan, watered well these riverdwellers, delves to elfin places

Liminal hymns lift him, hint heaven to the dented silverhead

His chin whiskers suncoloured

Motley array clanking as his wideberthed bay makes her time-hating way

Hair to shoulders shimmering wet, westsetting sun rising eastward yet

Stars like confetti strewn again the voidhewn hem of a funeral dress

Not all who wander are lost. Through brush, lusting waterrush.
