The true lord above
Despairing for disparable humanity Tug at the seams, the lot comes undone; rest’s all a screen. For none will be spared, anyway, according to my creed, Of this creation only steaming scree and occulting sea. For all our vanity, vanquished; this godly ennui. Enlil proving himself a vain and venal sky lord. I take a…

Nativity
Adoration, giftwrapped representations Of his future station His crib his grave, his nailed-on fate Magi Christchild star-heavy nightsky A looming moon Like someone bored an onyx bar To reveal the tallow paleness of a bigger being’s arse Low, harsh, judgemental, imperious, and very very serious Wiping my eyes so hard it draws tears, trying to…

Fingers bloody from counting nothing
Spent everyday of my life being a have not No one hearing me scream, like when an alien feasts on an astronaut Even in my dreams I’m under the remit of some unseen keeper Bottom of rock bottom, subterrene Open door so whether I leave is up to me.

Tripling the double threes
Six hundred sixty six depth Six hundred sixty six knots, not in step Six hundred sixty six noughts what I get, course I bought it Plod reckon they’ve got it solved, regularly swatted, But the particulars involved between me and God, got it? My feelings buried deeper than Hoffa. So many zeroes had to think…

A peek in at my quiet peak
Went from in the zone To dipping my toe to crashlanding, again, Without so much as a “Sorry” note. What I’m writing’s better than ever before, exploratory, new forms, And making more than two performing rabbits, Who adore each other and are extremely attracted like opposing magnets, During a storm stuck indoors. It’s all going…
