My words from tuna depths are unfortunately tuneless and tone deaf
They get no audience, no applause, no interest
Divested of consumers, the esculent expires
I’m a pile of rumours, secrets and spies
Not a jay stirs without my foreknowledge of its flight
I am the referee and the fighter, holding a whistle and two weight titles
I’m not afraid to get physical, violent though I’m brittle
Up off my back by bridging, lift your fridge weight, inconsiderately raking eyes
Whatever I have to do to survive, it’s not about thriving here at the end of time
Not quite ancient of days but seen a few and I’m bored pale of it
A blood coloured comet I caught the tail of it, became a sky sailor
Sticktoitiveness, pritt stick mick, more stick than Vlad the Impaler
Befriend the jailor, freed me on execution day before the hangman came
Who can blame him, I’ve got a tongue of flame and, I pray, righteous claim
That wasn’t me you saw yesterday dressed as a wasp stinging a facsimile of you
That wasn’t me in the Saw mask swapping shots running away in knee-high black boots
Back at the safety of the swamp smoking wonky blunts with Donkey
With Dante haunting the harrowed in hell’s unhallowed halls, trespass unlawful
Volcanoes smoking like villains’ cigars, like the overturned cars of movie stars
Barge through your sitting room, premier showing of the live action movie Cars
Pixar how I toy with you, fix a period to your story
Disassembled Mr Potato Head, in bits how I store you
No need to dissemble how much I scorn you
The time now is for temper and force, horned helmets youths leaving their computers
Taking to the streets with conspiracy theories and six shooters, safe entriangled bermuda
They cannot tabulate my movements, concealed like a devil’s deal, active shooter
Every lunar equinox, tear out of my jocks to run as a wolf with black foxes
Broke into the copshop and looted the evidence boxes, a defrocked priest
Helped grind off my manacles, gotta hand it to him, take a handful of hair and do him
No one can know my face, otherwise they can prove it.
