Column of expired guises

Writing badly myriad types of poem

Johannes Factotum scrolls unrolling

In my nook

My wisdoms like odes to toads’ beauty deface no quote book

Meeting word quotients

Alike thinking great minds

Or rarely differing fools

Of a Took

Took down a leatherbound book

Dense and unpleasant, inducing senescence

Already sense’s lessening

Tabulating fleeced sheep Minyan-chased leaping fences.

Ionic columns untended like bollards rusting, ivy crusted

As pastoral Apollo rustic gleoman glowing might abutt

Which centaurs, salvers all born seventh sons, sit around muttering

At midnight, professor Nessus taught Hera-laboured Herakles lessons

Tells fetlocked apprentices abeyant tales of wild hunts

Hair upon urbane head, back, flanked skirt earth-shaded and greying

Fierce eyes firekind, like gleaming tourmaline the Ceylonese magnet.

Hued lusty gallant, veined rock cuntcoloured, runtcoloured

Column of expired guises rises like brow’s empyrean

Vain totem carved with outmoded iteration

Tracing breathless faces, gelid and deaded

Bust of Pallas, bird saying me never never never never

In my shallow, grub-girdled bathtub Cana miracle from severed veins

Faces once grafted over mine like fresh thigh flesh to a burn

Gorgon subterfuge

Submission’s refusal.
