He entered, drew close to the deceased then stood aghast; his face contorted, the Possible dissolved suddenly in somnambulant katabasis, as he recognized his own pallid countenance laid out upon the slab. Thereupon he awoke drenched in sweat, suitably rattled but evidently this message from beyond did not imprint itself indelibly enough to alter the course of fate. IIRC his spiritualist wife was very concerned when he told her.
More famously, Lincoln reportedly saw a waking vision of his own Doppelganger, a sign of impending death in cultures across the world.
